Who is Bethany Hamilton? Bethany Hamilton is a person who has overcame an adversity. She lost her arm while surfing, and had a shark attack. After losing over 60% of her blood, and making it through several surgeries without infection, Bethany was on her way to recovery with an unbelievably positive attitude. She still surfs with the same enthusiasm as she had before. |
Beginning
Our organization started in 2005, 2 years after Bethany's horrific incident with a 14-foot Tiger Shark. We had no money to start off with, but we had support. We collect donations from generous people, fundraisers, and events that we organize.
